I use mainly painted textures, sometimes blended with photographic textures for these images. Illustrations using this technique can be quirky and stylised but can also be almost photographic, depending of the level of detail and the textures used.
Detailed watercolour is a technique I use regularly for Natural History illustrations needed for identification use.
Clients include: Historic Scotland, South Somerset District Council, Historic Royal Palaces, Bucks County Council and the Crown Estate.
I have produced many maps for parks, gardens and whole counties varying the style, scale and content to the maps purpose. A good map can both inform visitors but also help promote an area.
