My nan, Betty, who is in her 90's wrote this story for my sister, our cousins and I when we were children. I finally managed to illustrate it in 2013 just in time for her 90th birthday. Bill and his wife are illustrated to look like my grandparents and many of the items in the kitchen scenes are things found in my nan's house. The dog is my mums dog Fin!
